Roles hired

Operations Assistant

Looking for the right person to put in the right position, particularly in these times where everything is starting to be done remotely, can be a challenge for small businesses where time and resources can often be found to spread thin.

Colin Scotland, who runs his own coaching firm “Colin Scotland,” found that finding and hiring a suitable Operations Assistant from the new global remote workforce was really not the same as traditional hiring processes.

“I had quite a sophisticated interview and vetting process. But at the end of the day, ultimately, it all came down to being physically in front of the person to do an assessment, do an interview, and gauge their suitability to the role. And so when it came to recruitment, remote recruitment specifically, this is where everything just seemed to fall down. I felt like a complete fish out of water.”

Remotivate’s transparent and rigorous screening of applicants, to which Colin had full access, was something he found comforting and confidence-inspiring.

“The people that got in front of me, I could have hired them all!” he enthused. ‘By the time they got to me, they were ideal.”

With Remotivate handling the vetting and recruitment, Colin was able to focus his energies on his business, confident that the candidates that did make it to him, would be well-qualified and suitable.

“The team is rock solid. They find the best people. And match exactly what you are looking for with the right person.” he said.

When asked how he found the candidate he ended up hiring from Remotivate’s specially selected pool, he had this to say:

“Truly transformational.”
